Home security

Post by alex_v on Mon Nov 05, 2012 7:54 am

I just got this (amazing) idea.
There should be some sort of security job, somebody with a partner or so who can buy different levels of security panels, that use the cs_office radio prop. When it touches a door, or window, then it connects with it. Depending on the level security, it will send an alarm out to the security man when shot down, lockpicked, etc.
But that'd be a bit overpowered, but to adjust this we should have different levels, as in a bronze radio emits the alarm 30 seconds after breaking in.
I believe this would make citizens want to have homes as it makes it more interesting Wink.
I do hope we get more jobs/licenses/entities that let us make our homes more exciting. Very Happy

Yes! At least if it costs like 750$ each.
And we don't need a bronze or silver version, an instant/15 seconds one would be OP.
I aprove this, but make it a "30 seconds after" only version

This should be given out bya security guard, if it gets applied, would be more realistic
Also, I think that there should be a way to crack them to stop the alarm, but not with a normal cracker
Maybe have an advanced cracker that a bm dealer can sell for an expensive price, and make it so that if you crack an alarm with a normal cracker, it just goes off
Finally, the alarm should be instantaneous to after the door is opened. No alarm goes off a few seconds AFTER a break in

Personally, i dont think an alarm can be overpowered.
It is simply extra safety, at a price.
I like the idea of a code to disable, or a hacker to disable it.
But if the hacker disables it before 30s is up. It would never have gone off.
And yknow.
Thats real.
So.. Instant. But hackables...?
