A bit of a touchy subject here.

I need opionions and ideas for VIP perks.

Donations, microtransactions and money in general cause alot of drama/hate/contraversy in games.

People hate donating/paying for something they "should" have (like the ability to build) and people hate it when people who have donated get a big advantage over them. This is because it brings real world wealth and values into a game.

So what should be limited to vip, trusted and everyone?

My current thoughts are.

Normal players:
Normal load out, being in a certain group allows access to extended armoury (like being in 501 would let them get abit extra). Swat only available in lockdown and demotes on death.

Trusted:
Same as normal player + some extra weps. Destructive stuff like grenades and rpg more available. This is to give normal players the edge where they need it without giving minges easy access to "dangerous" stuff.

VIP:
Swat doesnt demote on death.
Access to "dangerous" weapons of the trusted rank + cosmetic stuff like different skins, might also allow to go over job limits by 1 or something.

Admin: Same as vip

Mod: Same as trusted

Super admin: No longer spawn weapons

Would this be too pay to win?

Would any VIPs reading this feel they are not getting enough? if so please make VIP/donor suggestions here.

Also admins and other staff request any powers u want. I myself want a console command to set fire to peoples stuff without them knowing, that'd be rad.

Sa can still get slams... just give urself money and buy from somewhere.

You can't stop us

Just stopping giving ourselves weps as it might unbalance "economy" when i figure out how to do it.

yes i quite like it, with the different skins, would they be buy and when you leave the server and/or die you lose it?
If yes to at least one of them, can you make it so Donnor skins are quite cheap to buy and non-doners quite expensive like $300-$1000 more than donnors. or something like that

Anyway i was thinking u buy a skin per use. So upgrade to super soldier for 400 and get extra shield, upgrade to sas model for 400 etc etc

Per use.

Saving costumes, I dunno see issue is.

Save costume to database (thats how u make it persistant)
1. me cop buys super soldier
2. super soldier model saves to db
3. me disconnect
4. me come back now citizen
5. me buys eli costume
6. eli costume model saves to db
7. now have 2 enteries in db :s
8. me disconnects
9. me joins
10. server retrieves all enteres with my steam id
11. now has array of different costumes I've had
12. now choice:
a. pick latest, rendering all other enteries totally useless
b. randomly pick, I end up with a noob outfit from months ago
c. disconnect from server and join again just to bloat the db

see issue? either 1 costume per player OR each player could have 100s of enteries in the db causing bloating or worse corruption.

every addition to db will make it bigger. bigger it is the slower queries are, slower the queries are the more lag we have. more lag we have the more we die

It would work in a gamemode where u can pick any model but in darkrp super soldier should be limited to cops imo.

1 costume per player; but you can buy a new one, that erases the old one.
But jobs like CP and the ike, require you to have a set skin,
otherwise we'll have a fucking weird police force.
and tbh, im fine with S.A's being able to spawn weapons in, if there's ever a server-wide event, it adds a bit of fun.

Admins, with VIP stuff. It totally wrecks the purpose of paying for VIP. People will just stay in the community until an admin and then they get everything for free. I don't like that idea.

Yeah, but it rewards the fact that they worked for admin.
I'm happy with it, they're helping the server, and so did Donators and shiz.
And people cant just stay until an admin, and get everything for free, as limited admin slots, and people are voted in, and demoted if they dont do admin stuff.
Just call it idk.. perks of the job. I'm personally happy with it.

What if that cop is undercover?
And How about 2 costumes?, one for undercover, and one for escape or something

Also with admin permissions, How about admins get one or two things more than everyone else except donators.
