A number of suggestions

Right, im not one to make long forum posts, but this needs to be done
9/10 times i join the server, its always the same thing:
Mass of citizens
No one rp'ing
Nobody even attempting to encourage it(sometimes doing the opposite)

So, I came up with a few suggestions to add towards the motd to fix this

33: After joining the server, players are to fill in empty job slots, or create custom citizen jobs that serve a meaningful purpose towards rp.

simply put: Rp or gtfo. Its always citizens that don't actually do anything almost every time I'm on, and I'm sure I'm not the only one whose seen this. Admins give players multiple warnings as it is now, but we never end up kicking people or do anything about the problem. That needs to change.

34: All players are to contribute towards server rp in some way, or be kicked.

Again, simply put: Rp or gtfo. If its not just citizens, I'll see cops, mobsters, hitmen, etc. who don't do anything except talk in OOC chat, or run around. How does this contribute at all?

35: All players (including staff) are to encourage RP, and avoid actions that would destroy or take away from it

Honestly, I'm tired of coming on to see giant sandbox buildings just for the sake of building them, or "events" that are just ideas that were made up on the spot. Every once and a while is fine, but they happen way too often imo. This is an rp server, we shouldn't be trying to destroy it.

As it stands now, there's barely any rp going on. Groups like the 501st or BH are basically useless because while they attempt to contribute, nobody else does.

Lemme know what you think, I'll edit them from good suggestions I see in comments

It would be good to have something that makes a Citizen get a random job if they stay a citizen for 5 minutes or so.
but if they got a custom one then they don't get a random job.
Also I see allot that Mods don't seem to help new players if the new players isn't to sure on what hes doing I don't think they should go up to them and say "RP OR GTFO" because then it'll make them not want to play the server with no one teaching them.

Well. That's alright, because nobody even does THAT

I've had ideas for rp scenarios that are planned by some of the players and perhaps staff here on the forums, which get specific jobs involved in roleplay.

I'ma post the suggestion separate to this, but it would be nice to see much more roleplay, and I think there should be rules to enforce this, and reiterate that we are a serious roleplaying community.

I like RPing as a sewer worker and just wander around the sewers.

my opinion about one of your suggestions.. (33)

the thing about the job citizen is to get you a house and rp a life and make a family
(not going to happend anyways)

but the point is..

- if you force people to switch jobs.. it will be bad rp from them (becuse we push them to rp other jobs or kick them for breaking the rule 33

- new players (like you was once before) will join the server... the admins that care about rule 33 will force them to switch and rp other jobs will get this server a bad name

some people dont know what to do when they joins..

if you "help" and not "Force" them to rp other jobs..

it will be better reason to kick if they dont rp as they should and they wont feel like we force them to rp other jobs (as they should do freely)

The idea of helping them prekick was already suggested
If people are rping as a citizen, and a proper citizen, not just one that hides in a house, great.
Be a citizen.
But this post was largely stationed around the people who go around just pissing about, and avoiding anyrp at any possible chance.

These kinds of players are the ones in talking about. Ones that don't actually rp asa citizen and just run around or printer farming instead

Reminder: High Class Citizen job is still a Citizen and still requires a home if you're going to play it. Don't go HCC just to farm the wallet and say that "Oh, it's a job hurr."
